Very Simple Cake

Hello everyone!

Today I want to recommend this recipe for a very simple, quick, and light cake that can be used for various preparations! You can fill it with jam or cream, decorate it with whipped cream and fresh fruit, add chocolate chips, cocoa, and… let your imagination run wild!

Ingredients:

200g sugar
250g all-purpose flour
4 eggs
1 small glass of sunflower seed oil
1 small glass of lukewarm milk
1 packet of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
(optional) 1 vial of almond extract or your preferred flavor (I didn’t have it, so I didn’t add anything!)

Method:

I separate the egg whites and beat them until stiff peaks form. In another bowl, I combine flour, sugar, oil, milk, salt, egg yolks, and baking powder, and beat them together with a whisk. Then, I gently fold in the beaten egg whites using a spatula and pour the mixture into a 28cm diameter springform cake tin lined with parchment paper.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 35-40 minutes.

Let it cool down and fill it as you prefer… maybe with whipped cream and hazelnut spread?
